Quite often my clients contact me disappointed that I don’t have the exact coloured kombi they want for their special day. The many emails I have received on this deal-breaking element to their day, led me to write this blog post. This blog is to entice you to be open to other kombi colours, as don’t underestimate the WOW! factor (no matter what colour) your kombi will have on your special day.
I guess It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that you have to have a strict wedding colour palette. No doubt you’ll get asked, “What are your colours?” by family and friends, which can put pressure on you to pick the “right” colour scheme for your big! day. However, colour doesn’t have to play the major role that it’s sometimes made out to be. Whilst your palette will inform a lot of your wedding decisions, like your flowers, table-settings and bridesmaid dresses, you should use it as a guideline instead of a rule. Not every part of your wedding has to match perfectly. Your event transport could be the perfect POP! of colour in your photo album, so don’t stress on having every detail colour-coded just right. Instead, think of your wedding planning in terms of style, formality, texture and mood, in addition to colour.
It is at this point that I suggest to my clients to have a look through some of the many photos on our website featuring five years of events we have covered.
Here are a couple of scenarios i’d like to share with you…
“Today a Newcastle client contacted me who was adamant about having two ivory and cream kombis to match their rustic theme. However as we only have one ivory kombi in this region, I presented Little Red and emailed a couple of photos of how this kombi looked in photos alongside our ivory kombi and how Little Red would not only give them the WOW! factor arrival in front of their guests, the colour of Little Red the kombi would also make their photos POP! On viewing these photos the client locked in Hattie and Little Red.”
“Late last year a Sydney client was adamant about booking Santa Ana (ivory and cream) but she wasn’t available and so I presented Rhonda (aqua), of which she booked. On their big! day she couldn’t stop raving to Alex her chauffeur about what a stunning addition to her day Rhonda was and how much fun she was, our client was chuffed. A beautiful review followed which made our day too :), not too mention yes of course AMAZING photos :).”
As arguably Australia’s largest kombi event hire fleet, proudly operating since 2010 covering 200+ events a year, its fair for me to say that on receipt of many many beautiful wedding albums, that any colour goes 🙂 .
